Career

Athallah Rafidiansyah (“Atha”) is an Associate at A&CO Law Office, where he is actively involved in matters relating to debt restructuring, insolvency (PKPU and bankruptcy), general corporate advisory, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property. He assists the firm in handling both advisory and contentious matters, supporting clients across a broad range of corporate and dispute-driven engagements.

Atha holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Indonesia, graduating with a GPA of 3.50 out of 4.00. His academic background reflects a strong foundation in business law and intellectual property. His undergraduate thesis, “Portrait Rights in Commercialisation on the FotoYu App: A Copyright Review,” was supervised by Prof. Dr. Agus Sardjono, S.H., M.H., one of Indonesia’s leading intellectual property scholars, and was featured in Media Indonesia—highlighting his early interest in IP law and its commercial implications.

Prior to joining A&CO, Atha gained hands-on experience at several legal institutions and law firms in Jakarta. His experience includes assisting in employment matters, corporate secretarial work, regulatory compliance, commercial agreements, and corporate governance, as well as exposure to litigation, credit disputes, and high-value financial cases. He has also been involved in restructuring-related work through his internship at the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan – LPS), where he assisted in regulatory analysis and legal opinions concerning financial stability and banking guarantees.

At A&CO, Atha supports the firm’s team in debt restructuring and insolvency matters, including PKPU and bankruptcy cases, creditor-side strategies, and recovery-related legal work. He is also involved in general corporate and M&A transactions, assisting with legal due diligence, contractual review, and transaction documentation. In addition, Atha contributes to intellectual property matters, particularly in legal research, drafting, and advisory support for both contentious and non-contentious IP work.
